It serves around 68 million customers daily. There are 36538 outlets in 119 countries around the world. They started with a barbecue restaurant.
McDonald’s was acquired by Ray Kroc and led its worldwide expansion by way of franchisees. Other than franchisees the restaurant is operated by an affiliate, or by the corporation itself. The company earned a lot from the royalties, rents, and fees paid by the franchisees. McDonald’s is headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois.

They primarily sell hamburgers, cheeseburgers, soft drinks, chicken, french fries, breakfast items, milkshakes, and desserts. Later they expanded its menu to add salads, wraps, fish, smoothies, and fruit.
