How to make Pizza at Home
Everybody loves Pizza with all its cheesy goodness and crispy crust. Pizza may seem like a fancy and complicated dish because of the thick dough and unique toppings. 1. Microwavable pan (12 inches)
2. Flour- 2 1⁄2 cups
3. Salt- 1 tsp
4. Sugar- 1 tsp
5. Instant yeast- 1 tbsp
6. Water- 1 cup
7. Vegetable oil- 1 tbsp
8. Tomato sauce- 1⁄4 cup
9. Oregano seasoning-1 tsp
10. Garlic powder-1⁄2 tsp
11. Salt- 1⁄2 tsp
12. Pepper- 1⁄8 tsp
13. Mozzarella cheese- 1 cup (or more)
14. Paneer- 1 pack
15. Capsicum- 1
16. Onion- 1
For the Dough:
The first step is to prepare the base of the pizza. Combine flour, salt, sugar and instant yeast in a large bowl. Mix water an oil and add them to the mixture in the bowl. Mix well and knead for 2 minutes on a floured surface. After that is done, put it in a greased bowl and flip the dough so that the greased part is on the top. Cover it with a cloth and let it rise for 15-20 minutes. Punch the dough and place it on a greased microwavable pan. Pat gently to form a circle.
For the Topping:
Mix tomato sauce with oregano seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture over the crust evenly. Chop onions, capsicum, and paneer into small cubes. Put a few of the chopped paneer, onions and capsicum and grate the cheese beforehand. Sprinkle half a cup of grated mozzarella cheese and put the rest the paneer slices, onions, and capsicums. Rest of the grated cheese should be added over the top. Toss it in the oven and bake at the highest setting for 15-20 minutes until the crust is light brown. Make sure you check the pizza after every 10 minutes to avoid the crust getting burned. You can top with more seasonings now if you like and garnish with some basil leaves before serving!
For non-vegetarian Pizza Toppings:
You can replace the paneer cubes with a cup of small chicken pieces, ham slices, sausage pieces or pepperoni slices. Just add more salt and seasoning according to your taste.
For more vegetarian Pizza Toppings:
You can add a few slices of tomatoes to the above recipe to make it tangier. Mushrooms and steamed corn are also great as toppings. And if you’re not a fan of many vegetables you can just add thinly sliced boiled/baked potatoes with cheese.
